FST (Fascial Stretching Therapy)
Fascial Stretch Therapy is an assisted manual stretch therapy that is performed with the client comfortably secured to the massage table. It focuses on elongating, re-aligning, and balancing the connective tissues of the body.
The rapid and pain-free results occur within one session. Flexibility is immediately improved along with strength, balance, coordination, body awareness and posture. The client is given a specific progressive home stretch program that focuses on the fascia to maintain the positive changes and benefits gained from an FST session with a therapist.
Our youth athletes and adults report no pain, improved range of motion, better sleep quality, reduced anxiety, improved posture, and flexibility. Check out our student rates!
FAQ
FST is a table-based assisted extension that manipulates HOW the body is capable of stretching. Rather than stretching an isolated muscle, one by one, these movements stretch the fascia in a more globalized way, targeting multiple fascia lines at a time. It doesn't force the body to do what it doesn't want to do, rather the therapist works with the nervous system cues and breathing synchronicity to ensure the tissue comes along willingly. Providing the client with a deeper stretch that yoga simply is not capable of creating.
New clients undergo an evaluation of both verbal questions regarding health history and physical range of motion testing on the massage table. The therapist will take the new client through a series of stretches in different planes and ranges conducted in a pain free and comfortable manner to give a peaceful and effective treatment session.
My daughters are high school and college D1 cross country and track runners. Stretch therapy is very important to keeping injury free. Brad is great. He takes time to ask questions at the start of each session and focuses on that area to prevent injury. He uses both cupping and “the blade” to work and loosen their tight calf muscles. He is very dependable. I highly recommend stretch therapy for endurance athletes and for anyone who needs extra support with tight muscles whether it’s to prevent injury or working through one. --Kari C.
I work out 3 days a week and I felt like I was hitting limits on my range of motion which was impacting what exercises I could even attempt at the gym.
I started doing research and stumbled upon guided stretching which led me to Brad and the results have been amazing!
I have significantly more flexibility in my shoulders and hips. My squats are deeper and my form on arm and shoulder exercises is improved. Typical morning stiffness has nearly disappeared from my life too.
As an added bonus, I leave after every session feeling super relaxed. It's almost like a fog has been lifted from my brain and I have more mental clarity than I've had in a long time. Stress levels are down, anxiety is down and I enjoy life more, both mentally and physically.
I can't say enough about how good this has been for me. Coming into it, I thought I would feel good (like after a massage) but this is on a whole different level. -- Justin B.
